I grew up going to Russ’ as a family. Went there today with the whole family and the waitress with her bare hands took French fires from one plate to another and did a it second time. We all just looked at her in shock and she was not kind. She was more annoyed we were there. Sandy was her name and she proceeded to tell the host who informed her she had a table of 12 just seated that he was stupid and she could clearly see this. Not something I enjoyed my kids witnessing. Great family diner. Great menu with a lot of options. Fried chicken Diners and Meat loaf diner or fish etc. many great sandwiches and big salads. Homemade French dressing
Russ’ used to be one of my favorite places to take the kids when I didn’t feel like cooking and didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg. Prices now are similar to our favorite places to eat but the taste and portions lack compared to other places to eat. I completely understand the need to increase prices but the outdated facilities and quality/quantity of food doesn’t even out for the change. Breakfast Dutch omelette, lunch pea soup in winter or salad, dinner chopped steak or southwest salad are just a few of my favorite meals. Dessert coconut cream pie. Great family restaurant.

What's happened to the julienne salad? This is the second time I've received it without a hard-boiled egg. It happened both at Cutlerville and 28th SE drive-throughs. I was looking forward to the protein boost. Is this a recipe change or an oversight?
