The idea of the Rundown cafe was born in 1993 from tropical travel adventures and a love for the fresh exciting foods of the Islands."Rundown" is the name of a coconut milk, fish chowder so named "Because Mon it run down so good." Great menu selections along with a fun atmosphere
Unwilling to accommodate allergies on their outdoor menu. Also, no children’s items available on outdoor seating as well.
What a great place ,,, food ,, drinks and great staff and a wonderful beach atmosphere.
Live music on the deck! You have to feed the koi while you are there too. So much fun!

Awesome great service friendly place
Our first time here, it's a great little place on Virginia Dare Trail with a 2nd level open patio area. They have a few tables that accommodate 4 and a wrap-around bench with small tables, which I recommend. Food was fantastic and staff friendly. Owner or manager thanked us, simply but quite sincerely when we left. Family friendly for sure. It's now on our OBX stop schedule for future trips.
