The idea of the Rundown cafe was born in 1993 from tropical travel adventures and a love for the fresh exciting foods of the Islands."Rundown" is the name of a coconut milk, fish chowder so named "Because Mon it run down so good." Best place on the Beach to eat!! We have going to Run Down Cafe for over 10 years. The food is always delicious, the wait staff is really attentive, fun decor with a caribbean vibe. The owner Michael puts his heart and soul into making it a place you want to return to often. Try the fish burritos or my favorite the huge salad with grilled tuna and Journey's End House Dressing. Yummy!
Delightfully unique menu and great staff! This is one of our "go to" restaurants.
I recommend everything. The food here is amazing as well as the staff. Definitely my new favorite place to eat in the Outer Banks. Do not leave OBX without trying this place, I promise you will not regret it.
