Definitely NO - No return Sushi is average, Poor Service and overprice. We went there for dinner and terribly disappointed, the waiter really push us to order. and we've got asked 5 times within one hour whether they could take our food away while we still working on it. Every 15 minutes busboy will come by and wanna clean the whole table...Even worst hostess came around and addressed to our waiter in front of us that when this table is going to turned.... We looked around, there was no line and no wait........not sure what ... read more
Where tourists go to feel at home? – Ok, it was close by to the hotel where family friends were staying. I guess it's a good thing she brought an espresso instead of the americano that I ordered, because it was the weakest, blandest coffee I've ever had. How cute that they self-proclaim how paris bistro-like they are. I guess if you've no idea what a paris cafe looks like and don't know what their coffee tastes like? If I'd heard that they were a french-american-sushi mess beforehand, I would've put my foot down. Man, have a... read more
Great Brunch and Food! – This place was great, yes it was very busy but the staff was very fast and quick to get us seated and take our order. Rue 57 is very cute inside and i love the fact that you can get great sushi at a French restaurant!!
Avoid Avoid Avoid – Some restaurants are good and remain so; others get so full of themselves they lie there, corpulent, lazy and arrogant--assuming everyone will still pack them in, even if the food has become lackluster, and worst, the service has gone down the DRAIN. The food has become mediocre at best--floppy, undercooked burgers, uninspired brunch choices, boring, semi-tough steaks. But sometimes you can take these with a slight allowance...if the service was at least efficient, organized or friendly. Rue57 left everyo... read more
Great Location – I will admit I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I hate it and I love it. I have been here on a few occasions now and have waited this long to write a review because each time I go there are moments where I love it and moments where I hate it. I'll write about my last experience. I went with my girlfriend during the week so it was pretty quite. The food is great, there is no doubt about that, and the restaurant is very nicely appointed but let me tell you what I don;t like about it. Every time I hav... read more
seemingly nice place...but definately not worth it – Party of 2 went for very late lunch (restaurant was not busy).....ordered a medium well burger with blue cheese and the roast turkey with prosciutto sandwich and wasabi mashed potatoes.... well, the mashed potatoes never was put into the system so they never appeared at our table, the roast turkey sandwhich was very good, however the burger was way undercooked..it was charred on the outside but completely rare in the middle, i cut the burger in half and it fell apart from ... read more
Insulting Service – This is one for the history books. Three of us including a concierge friend dined here at 10pm on a Friday night. I arrived half way through to join them. I had to ask two separate staff members for a menu, and I NEVER got a menu. I did manage to get a drink after 20 minutes of being at the tabel. The server was clearly novice. Table maintenance was non-existent. My concierge friend had identified himself to a manager early on, and proceeded to provide some feedback on the lack of service. The manager was... read more
Very good food, but very, very slow service! – Went went to Rue 57 without a reservation, with a party of 6 on an early Saturday evening. We were seated within 5 minutes. We were in town from D.C. visiting for the weekend, and looking forward to a nice dinner out at a new restaurant. Beautiful restaurant. However, service was very slow. Our waiter took a very long time to bring our cocktails. We thought he'd forgot about our table. We received our drinks after a long wait, and he informed us that his shift was changing... wh... read more
We loved it!!! – We went into this beautiful midtown brasserie Friday night for dinner. We were lucky , they were able to accomodate us without a reservation. From entering the restaurant until we left this was such a memorable dinning ecperience. I met Ken and Greg the managers who were such hospitable gentleman. The steak au poive was delicious, and those Kobe burgers are just way to easy to eat all night. Our server was on point and the place just looks so great this time of year. YOU MUST GO!!!! Make reservations, it's u... read more
