What am I invisible? – I went in there on a date. Host showed us to our seats. Right in the middle not in the corner- hid up somewheres. We sat there over 10 minutes. Not so much as a glass of water from the bus guys. Waiters kept passing us by. nothing. When we walked out of the place past the host - he didn't even ask why we were leaving. Maybe it's me.
One of New Yorks best – The service was great. From the receptionist, bartender and food server, the food was well prepared and of high quality without the FULL New York over priced menu. When in New York we will always go to RUE 57
Best tuna tartar in town – We went into this beautiful midtown brasserie Friday night for dinner. We were lucky, they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. Service was prompt and courteous. This was a repeat visit and we'll definitely be back again.
Great place!! – So I was visiting New York and while walking around I found this place. I loved it! They had all types of foods. We went at 1pm and you can anything from brunch to sushi. Food was excellent and had a lot of cocktails. Family friendly and the staff was so kind and up beat.
Disguting Food and Service – The manager DAVID is a disgusting human being. He was rude to my friend for being gay and asked us to leave. He yelled at us in front of everyone and called my friend a F*ggot. This is the manager!! I have never seen this behavior before, but based on the reviews below at least I know we are not the only ones you are subjected to this. Get rid of this guy!! How can a restaurant use a man who is prejudiced??!??
Fabulous French Onion Soup! – I had dinner here with my baby's mama after a visit to the niketown. Service, atmosphere, and food were great. French onion soup was amazing. The even serve alcohol to teenagers. Highly recommended!
Excellent for families! – The food was very good, but even better was the incredible attention from the staff. The manager and wait staff attended to every detail. We were there with our three children (ages 2, 7 & 8) and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Rue 57 for families. Dinner was very nice, and desserts were just amazing. We'll definintely return!
Don't waste your money – That was no sirloin burger I had. Lots of hard grizzle to take out and the dessert profiteroles were frozen shells. To top it off they charged us $4 for a 1oz ramekin of extra sauce for the burger and $1.50 for lettuce and tomatoes on the burger. I felt like I was a Burger King. Why not build into the $14 burger? To top it off the manager was rude about it all. I'd never eat here again.
