The previous tenants had pet(s) and the carpet was clearly not replaced or at the very least properly cleaned. Now they are saying that because the carpet was stained UNDERNEATH, we have to pay to have it replaced. We figured there had to be some kind of mistake so we contacted RPM as they are the management company for the complex, but they said they did an investigation and stand by their decision to charge us. The Greatest Scammer ever! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY! They took $650 as security deposit whereas, the previous Property Management took only $150 as security deposit. After moveout, they kept $450 only for cleaning. I left the apartment exactly the way I received from previous owner. They asked me to submit pictures of the apartment when I first moved in which was two years back. I did not know that the owner will change so why would I take pictures? I use to be a proud employee of RPM formerly know as Roscoe Properties. In 2020 that became a company that pretended they cared about inclusivity. I made a mistake sharing my concerns with human Resource. I was terminated by Leya Nguyen and Danielle Mitchell. I requested a meeting. I wasn't getting any help with HR with the harrassment in my workplace. I emailed my then regional that I had filed an EEOC due to my property manager. The next day they terminated the relationship. When RPM took over Ross and Peak they turned the air ventilation off in the parking garages. After getting in my car and getting very sick and nauseated and almost passing out from the fumes I reached out to the office and they manually turned them on. After 3-4 weeks having them on last week they where off. I got in my car this morning and the same exact thing happened. My car smelled of gas and I got a very bad headache. HORRIBLE! So many issues with this company and the dumpy apartments at Hillside Place in Austin. I have lived here for almost 4 years and every time my lease is up for renewal I am sent an email and a paper reminder. Not this year. I called the leasing office countless times and there was never a manager available to give me my renewal. After two months of trying to reach someone, I was slapped with month to month fees and and a 30% rent increase because of “market rate”. Last Thursday 08/11/2022 I finally received a 'USED STOVE' after two (2) months of not having a working stove. I appreciate that gesture. I'm able to cook. However, on that same day, I received a call stating from the Dallas Regional Office stating as soon as the 'NEW STOVE' arrived I would receive the new stove as promised. This place has absolutely no concern for its residents. My move in date was moved back 2 weeks because they were unprepared even though they had a months’ notice prior to the move in date. When I arrived at my apartment, I found it in serious disarray. The board under the kitchen sink was warped beyond use, the sliding glass door was completely unattached to the sliding door. RPM living is the most unethical management community in the US. They increased my rent 25% in one year ($5,000). They certainly aren’t making $5,000 worth of improvements. Additionally, they’re unethically trying to force me to sign a lease agreeing to not have any guests stay with me for more than 7 days. So if my mother comes to visit me for 10 days for Christmas, I’m in breach of my contract. I lived at a RPM/Roscoe run property in San Antonio for 9 years and 1 month. My lease end date was 9/28 however, I surrendered my keys on 9/23. I provided more than 60 days notice. My deposit was $650. The only deduction to be taken out of the deposit was $109.75 for water/sewage/drainage. Per Texas state law I was to receive the refund on or before the 30th day.
