Built as a Spanish Colonial style mansion for a wealthy New York financier, at the base of Camelback Mountain, it was several years before this beautiful building, became the Royal Palms Resort. With old-style bathroom fixtures, ornate interiors and top class facilities, this is a favorite among the rich and the famous who come to Phoenix. With the contemporary restaurant, T. Cook's and theAlvadora Spa, you will be hard pressed to find a more relaxing hotel in town.

We went for a spa day. I stayed years ago and we ate at TCooks. The grounds are always beautiful. Spa staff was wonderful. Only one shower was a little disappointed. Also 15$ for a drink is pretty high even for the Royal Palm's. Carne Asada fries were delicious but machaca is not Carne asada. Lara my massage therapist was truly amazing. Best massage I've ever had and I have them regularly. Beautiful massage room.

We certainly did not get tge royal treatment. Promised two beds or a terrace. We got neither. Instead we got a lovely view of a fence and the busy road. Two weddings and it was packed. $15 drinks at the pool. Maybe they knew we were on a budget since we drove in with a Nissan. Valets were very nice and helpful. The KICKER upon checkout besides the $30 resort fee, were meals charged to our room! Probably the other party with the same last name that DIDN'T drive the Nissan. Still waiting for charges to be credited.
Was here for a wedding, fantastic venue !! Everyone was so friendly and couldn't have been nicer. Hope the owners appreciate their staff!
