I have been dealing with Dr Makar and Royal Oak clinic for more than 10 years. Dr. Makar is very knowledgeable and caring, the staff is very friendly.
If I could give 0 I would. Absolutely appalling. I was referred by my GP because I had a suspicious mole on my leg. I knew there was something wrong. It was absolutely obvious with the naked eye as it looked exactly like a textbook melanoma. Dr Choi kept insisting that it was just an age spot. Now I have a few age spot and they didn't look anything like that mole. He finally gave in saying "if it makes you feel better I'll remove it". Yes it would make me feel better. Royal oak clinic has been my family clinic for nearly 11 years. I can’t say I have ever had a positive experience at this clinic. The reception staff is incredibly rude, and honestly lazy. They will communicate in the least amount of words possible, give you condescending answers, and be immediately rude the second they sense any frustration coming from you. The front desk is awful all the “women” working there are extremely rude and ignorant. I tried to explain why I needed my appointment and they barely talked to me and couldn’t be bothered to figure anything out that would be helpful. They let me sit there for 40 minutes without any communication they just told me to wait. After 40 minutes I got up and asked again what was happening and they said no we can’t see you today. No consideration or empathy shown to me at all.
