I have used this place about 4 times. The husband and wife team are active in the customer service. I will say that the woman is abrasive, rude, condescending and acts like an uneducated hick. The man, I believe his name is Raymond, seems the smarter of the two. The crew are not what I would classify as 1st class and to be out in the open more or less while you wait, act as if they are in some backward run shade tree mechanic style junkyard. I will not return to the Royal Lube in Tyler. Got there before car next to me and they took him in before me by quite sometime. Then after talking to man on phone to get prices he knew I wanted the cheaper oil change. When I got there I said I wanted the bulk cheaper oil (because that is what my husband said was fine) they came and told me I owed almost $50. When I asked why so much after I was told $32 (it's ladies day too) he said "you told me bulk and that is our penzoil expensive oil". What a scam! Since he knew I wanted... read more
They're so friendly and great at what they do. They do their job and don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. Great service all around!!
I had Royal Lube change my oil and filter recently. The employee in the pit failed to tighten the drain plug, which resulted in a spill on my driveway. Upon stopping by to ask for (1) additional oil (probably less than a quart, and (2) something to clean up my driveway. the woman who could kindly be classified as vile all but call me a liar. The result was my leaving for good, and I, like "Jim", not only won't I be back, but anybody who asks will know just exactly what to expect from this horribly managed nightmare.
