The restaurant itself had great decor. That being said I would never go back. My salad had a big hair in it which grossed me out. I had the ribs and scallops which was nothing to brag about. The scallops were good but the half rack of ribs seemed like they are boiled and put on the plate with a little BBQ sauce.
I had heard a lot about this place before coming to Bar Harbor, so when we needed a nice place to eat that isn't strongly focused on seafood I picked Route 66. The drinks were really good, how can you go wrong with blueberry beer? We ordered the lobster quesadilla, which wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be for $17. My husband loved the lobster. I had the seafood pizza. Good food and fun atmosphere. Service good too.
It was so much fun to eat at this restaurant for lunch when we went to Bar Harbor, ME, last September. If you are a "Baby Boomer", you will love the collection this restaurant has---it was great.
Love the food, staff is always super friendly and love all the antiques and collectibles on the walls. Much better to look at and talk about then staring at our phones lol
