I had a terrible experience with this water restoration company. Their work was shoddy and I noticed they cut corners on the job. They left a mess behind and didn't even put the doors back up. They took all of my door stoppers and caused even more damage to my powder room sink, islander, and cabinets. Furthermore, they caused even more damages than the water did. Super disappointed! Be wary! As much as I appreciate the convenience of Roto-Rooter and have used them in the past, I was very disappointed this time, almost violated. For less than 2 hours of work I was charged $875 of labor. I was charged $175 in parts which I looked up and the parts prices were under $45. Also I had to cut the floor open and repair it myself. We had a basic bathroom sink clog, it took 15 minutes to fix and they charged us $411.00!! We paid it not really knowing what it should actually cost, but knew in our hearts it was too much!! A month later our drain for the washing machine was clogged, we called a different plumber, *******, $93.00 or free. Unfortunately he couldn't unclog the drain so it was free. Still needing a plumber we called ************, they came out, pulled a chunk of tree roots out of the drain and snaked it, 15 minutes later the drain was clean! ... read more

I highly recommend anyone to avoid this company for plumbing work. Our experience with them was more akin to that of a sleazy salesmen than a reputable and professional plumber. They took advantage of us in the midst of serious plumbing issues by promising a speedy job to resolve all our problems at a very high price; and then the complete service was not even provided as originally agreed due to them breaking a section of pipe under our slab. My wife and I woke up at 3 am on a Sunday to the sound of running water in our bedroom and bathroom. We immediately shut off the main water supply to the house but couldn't find any water leaking anywhere. The next day, since it was Sunday, I saw that Roto-Rooter would not charge extra to come out on a Sunday so I called them. A technician came out and told us it was a slab leak. Roto Rooter absolutely scammed me. They charge me $23,000 for a repair that I am now being told should have cost under $10,000. They demanded money upfront even when I stated insurance would cover part of the bill and the rest could be financed. We NEVER received an itemized bill. We are having to request one. They made everything feel like an absolutely emergency so we were vulnerable and taken advantage of. Furthermore, their work people were unprofessional. I called Roto-Rooter to replace my water heater. The plumber was so friendly, polite and really knew what he was doing. He explained the process, how long it would take, and then took the old water heater with him. I will definitely call Roto-Rooter again anytime I need a plumber at my house.

I give it a 1 because 0 was not an option. My wife called abd had them.come out to replace some fittings an two new diverters for new shower heads which we provided. First the work was insideca wall with an acess panel. He cut an additional 6"×6" sqaure out of the drywall avove the acess panel and left it. Not the main issue. This weekend we had to have a tub removed and a walkin shower installed for handicapped access in one bathroom.
