I have been going to Dr Grumet for 13+ yrs for a combination of issues. Expect to see him 30-60mins after your appt time. Former psychiatrists, who stuck to their 15 minute appt schedules, couldn't figure out why nothing helped. My 1st visit (scheduled for 30 mins) lasted over 1hr as he listened to the full spectrum of problems I was experiencing. It took a long time & a lot of work but I've been stable for 10 yrs with his help. His staff is awful (always email for appts) but he is worth it.
It is very difficult to schedule an appointment. The doctor is very nice and skilled but Mr. Dreadlocks on the Front Desk is a nightmare. I had to go in person to inquire about the appointment, because he won't return calls. I found a small locked office with the receptionist behind the glass. He was very rude, I declined scheduling the appointment and he charged me $50.00. I don't recommend them not because of the doctor (great man) but the office staff. Run.
I have seen Dr Grumet for 8 years for Subutex treatment. He has helped me so much. But the staff he hires is the absolute worst employees. These employees do not care. I have left message after message and still will not receive a return call. I end up having to Email Dr. Grumet to let him know what I need. I believe a Dr is as good as his staff. And while I stick with Dr. Grumet I hate his employees. The turn over rate is very high. I wish he had better staff
I completely disagree with the bad reviews below. 5 stars or you are wrong. MUST READ MY REVIEW!!! Dr. Grumet is wonderful, I have been seeing him for about four years/ His current office staff is fabulous!!! They go out of their way to listen and solve any kind of issues or questions I may have or come across. They treat you like you DO MATTER because you do.They promptly do all the above. They work with you for you, and understand that you and your needs are important.
The service from the male receptions is terrible! He's rude, he hung up the phone twice for no apparent reason and had the nerve to tell me he wasn't sending my medical records. This guy doesn't deserve a job!
I had been to several doctors for over 2 years without success. The first time Dr. Grumet met with me, he spent the time he needed to truly understand and correctly diagnose my problem. He was completely correct and within just 2 months under his care, my life had dramatically changed for the better. Now, I am living a normal life again! Yes, you may have to wait sometimes for a little while, but it is because he spends the time that is needed. If you need help, go see him!
Dr. Grumet listens to all his patients and makes sure that he gives each patient the individual attention that they deserve. I have been a patient for over a year now and although you may have to wait 30 minutes past your appointment time you can be sure that you will get the time you need to discuss how you're medication is working or not working. But if you are looking for a doctor to give you drugs for the hell of it, look elsewhere, because he will see right through you!
