I honestly feel like I made a friend at Rory and Son Transmissions. Don't bother to go anywhere else. I have had a well known shop in Norfolk repair my transmissions on my station wagon in the past and it failed at 3 months. They fixed it so that was good but I wanted a better shop. Great service and communication!
My car was quoted at Firestone to need a transmission seal replaced. This would have cost me thousands of dollars! I went to Rory and Son to get a second opinion. It turns out my transmission is fine and I only needed a new intake seal. Saved me hundreds, was knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend them if you live in the Hampton Roads area!
I just called them for the first time ever about my 1988 Mustang GT. I was referred to them by another shop that doesn’t work on antiques. I sent them a small video of my problem and they explained exactly what I was seeing. I have 4 antique vehicles and that’s what they specialize in. Instead of blowing me off because my car wasn’t there they took the time to assist me and in my book that goes a long way. They definitely just earned a new customer. Plus I found out they’re into drag racing so double 5 stars.
My truck was in dire need of repairs. Rory and his son replaced my transmission and even replaced my manifold, turbo and U joints at my request. These guys didnt try to upsell me or beat me over the head with price. They kept me in the loop throughout the whole process. I highly recommend this shop to everyone. They were honest unlike half these shops in town just looking to milk you dry. Thank you Rory and son!
