Food was delicious and the staff was courteous and went out of their way to accommodate for the group - this included picky eaters, preferences and severe food allergies! We’ll definitely be back next time we are visiting.

We ate at Roots today after the Vintage Market Fair in Rutland. Great food and great service from Melissa. The cheese fondu was so delicious! We will definitely be back.
My husband and I were in Rutland for the day yesterday (we live 2 hours away), so unfamiliar with the town, I searched online for a spot for us to have lunch. We have been raving about this place since. From the Switchback beer & maple margarita, to the amazing tomato soup, fondue, and cheese board, to the fish tacos and Salmon entree, we were amazed! The grilled salmon-Faroe Island raised, ginger-cranberry jam, cheddar polenta and marinated butternut squash was fantastic! Bursting with a variety of flavors and cooked to perfection. Waitstaff was excellent. Great atmosphere. All around perfect experience.
