A FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!! – My 10 yr old daughter recieved a deep conditioning, wash and natural style and they handled her with care. I witness so many women leaving The Root of you with the healthiest and even more beautiful hair styles. Seen the rest, but found the BEST – I recently moved here from Atlanta, GA (HOTLANTA). overpaying to get treated like a $ – I went here for about a year because I was new to town. As soon as I found ANYONE who could do natural hair halfway decent, I left them. They play games with the prices, cancel appointments on a dime with no explanation, and do a lazy job at the basics (i.e. washing, deep conditioning). Everything there is overpriced, EVERYTHING. horrible service – My appointment was at 1:00pm and I did not get in the chair until 4:30pm. When I was finished with my unbeweavable, you could see the braids and the thread. It was an awful experience that I hope no one has to go through.
AVOID SALON: Completely Overpriced and Overrated – After recently relocating to the Houston area from another major city, I searched heavily for a new salon. I like to support small businesses but.... – My sister and I took our mother there for her 50th birthday for a total day at the spa for the 3 of us and first off it was over priced, they did not seem to understand medical conditions that do not allow for certain treatments, the mani pedis were horrible because they figured to make the atmosphere they would paint nails in the dark, and the hair style was mainly to get the money. Awesome Experience – I was given a spa package as a Christmas gift. This was my first visit ever to a Day Spa. I MUST say, there's nothing else like it on earth. I have to commend the awesome staff for their professionalism. I felt warm and welcome when I walked through the door. The ambiance was very relaxing, just as I expected. Dont recommend! – Well to be honest: It is a nice salon with a relaxed atmosphere, but in my opinion its very over priced! Can any one suggest another place that cateres to individual that are trying to go more twoard a natural look and pressing. I dont recommend it to someone who is looking to spend less than $65.00 and that could possibly be a wash and set or blowdry.
