I recently had a total knee replacement. Everything went perfectly! My recovery was smooth and fast. Dr. Emerson is the ultimate caring professional. I recommend him to everyone.
An outstanding knee and hip surgeon. He is very good at listening and answering questions with detail and candor. Having more experience with orthopedists than I could ever want, Dr. Emerson is one of the best.
Dr. Emerson replaced both my knees together 19 years ago. I am 90 years old and my knees are the least of my worries. Other than a twinge once in a while, both are fine. Before my replacements, I did a lot of research by talking to his patients during my arthritis pool exercises and asking a lot of questions. I realized that he was the best. He has followed my results over the years while i moved around the country now located in Pennsylvania.
I spent 3 years searching for a surgeon to do my TKR. I limped into Dr. Emerson's office, and knew that I was finally in the right place. His office is designed for the comfort of his patients--from the tall chairs with footrests in the waiting room to the state of the art X-Ray equipment. As a retired nurse, I knew that I was in Healing Hands under Dr. Emerson's care. He is an artist and perfectionist. His ancillary providers are top-notch. I could not have asked for more.
Dr. E. works with patients who have weight issues. His response to my weight question was tha it wouldn't hurt if I could lose some, bc the recovery can be easier. He said just to see what I could lose. I lost 20 lbs. -- between Jan. and April. Somehow the way he approached it made it easier for me than when a previous oS said I had to lose it first. He was calming and laid back throughout. Scheduled my surgeries 6 wks apart. Good choice. Worked out well for me. Love him! 8 mo ckup in Dec

Dr. Roger Emerson replaced one of my grandmothers knees. After that he did a bilateral knee replacement on me. He was absolutely wonderful. I am now needing my hip replaced and don't need to see any other doctors but Dr. Emerson. I don't know
He cares about his work and his patients needs and welfare. Was VERY pleased on how I was treated. Had both of my hips done by him. Have recommended him to anyone in need of replacements.
