.Service tech said I needed 3 lbs. of coolant immediately to prevent major damage to my system, quoting $537 for basic service, $949 to check for leaks and $1,349 for a complete service. I had a tech from the company who installed the 6 month old system come the next day. He said that the coolant was fine and that no services were necessary. I canceled my contract with Rodenhser when it expired.

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience you experienced. Our technician's recommendations were based on recorded measurements from your system, which indicated that additional coolant was necessary to prevent potential damage. It's important to note that our findings suggested an improper installation by the original installer, which led to the issues we identified. While we strive to provide the best possible service, we cannot be responsible for issues arising from installations done b... read more

Ridiculously overpriced. I had 2 Rodenheiser electricians in to replace 3 light fixtures, which I supplied. They charged me over $1200 for less than an hours work. In the invoice provided they used the word "minor" to describe what needed to be done. I know it was a minor repair job because I've replaced light fixtures in my home similar to the ones they installed for me. I feel like I was totally ripped off. Shame on me for accepting the quote and for not doing the work myself. I'd give them one star, but don't want to mali... read more

We have a Rodenhiser heating system, installed two years ago. We always pay for the yearly service appointment, but when there is a problem - they put us on an "Emergency List" and may or may not come. Last year, it broke down and *********** came and fixed the problem. Today - on 1/15/24 - I called Rodenhiser after the heating system broke and spoke to ******* who said we were on a list but said there was no guarantee Rodenhiser will get to us. Rodenhiser has very poor customer service skills and once they put a system in, ... read more

The requested work was completed by one man(left basin basket strainer replacement and approximately 3 inch long plastic tailpiece) in 35 to 45 minutes for a whopping $485.00.Before departing, ****** called to say the basket strainer/tailpipe was replaced but the sink was draining slowly. Tenant called after dinner to say both kitchen sink basins were full and not draining. I called Rodenhiser the next morning, left a live message with the call center. Got a call back from ******(the plumber who was there the day before) sta... read more

Came out to service an AC unit installed by them still under warranty. Told me that my compressor was starting to fail. Gave me two options a "band-aid" which would help the compressor start and run for "a few months to a few years" or a warranty replacement of the compressor. The "band-aid" was over $700 and the WARRANTY replacement of the compressor was $5,000. Which mean the labor cost of replacing a compressor, under warranty, was higher than the cost of me buying an entire new unit.To top it off, the tech left after ins... read more

My wife and I, both elderly, had Rodenhiser install a new water heater and boiler for a cost of about $30,000. Afterwards, we needed a hole in our siding repaired and asked Rodenhiser to send their ********* out for a quote. They did and the ********* quoted repair to two 4" diameter siding sections and beefing up a doorframe to install a new screen door closer. We were floored when the quote came in at almost $2,900. My wife and I elected to do the work ourselves at zero cost and with about 5 manhours total spent. I wrote t... read more

We had these techs come to our house to look at a fan in our attic. They quoted $1000 to fix. We told them that was way too high, my husband is mechanically inclined by getting older so we prefer to hire out. They charged us a $69 fee for coming out. My husband was able to buy the replacement part for about $130 and it took him 30 minutes to remove the old and install the new. This means that this horrible place is charging upwards of $1700 an hour for labor. unreal. I have looked at many reviews, including ours, and for neg... read more

Technicians were professional and quick, I requested an itemized invoice to back up the ridiculous invoice and I've yet to be contacted. $900+ for less than two hours labor and a $150.00 part; sounds like price gouging to me

Business response:

Hi Michael, we are sorry you had a negative experience with our team. We passed this review on to management and they will be reaching out. Thank you for the feedback.
