Very, very good! – Roccos is always the place to go for my girlfriend and I, it's such a great place. The staff rocks, the pizza slices are HUGE, very good value, very tasty old recipe from Rocco's mother I believe. Don't believe the negative reviews, it seriously is wonderful.
Roccos holds a place in my heart – If you are reading the negative comments do not believe them. The pizza at roccos has the best sauce i have ever tasted and the slices are HUGE. The cheese has that chrunchy on top but stringy quality to it which is just perfect for me. now given that yeah a slice of cheese costs $2.75 and a small soda is $1.50 bringing your cheapest grand total to $4.25, you still can't go wrong with a slice of this godly goodness. The staff is amazing (most being beautifull women) but they are usually mor... read more
Good Pizza, Great Atmosphere – Whoever said Rocco's was a waste of money, missed the boat. If you like premade-cased pizza and are looking to eat something quick on a low budget, you should definately eat at Rocco's. The pizza is good, but the atmosphere is excellent. Whether you want to eat inside or out or even on the go, this is the place for you. My wife and I were searching for a good place to eat pizza before going to Powell's, and we stumbled on Rocco's. We highly recommend it for any and everyone.
User review by thomas_jackso69 – Never eat at Rocco's. It is a waste of money. I'd heard boasts of excellent pizza and prices, but upon trying was completely dissatisfied. The crust was terrible and the toppings sparse.
good music, cool staff, yummy pizza. – The employees are awesome first of all. Good music ranging from punk to metal, and for the price it's pretty damn filling. also, it's in a great location with music, books and shopping around. If you go there at the right time you can also catch hot skaters, and the zoobombers that meet across the street on Sundays. VERY IMPORTANT!!!! YOU must always ask for the freshest slice, cuz sometimes like any pizzaria it can get a bit aged. Oh, and it's a good meeting spot to kinda socialize wit... read more
Bigger is not better – Okay I was shocked at how huge the slices were. I was underwhelmed by the quality. The pizza crust, sauce and toppings were not that great. But if you are hungry and need some food for cheap this is your place. But it is not my kind of place.
Blah – This is some of the crappiest pizza that I've ever eaten. I know it sounds crazy, but they put way too much cheese on the pizza. The crust is chewy.
You call that pizza? – Mediocre, mediocre, mediocre. Too much cheese, the sauce is attrocious (need to dial back the cayanne pepper boys), the toppings are strewn about, the crust is like bread dough. Once was enough. Heard these guys could make a decent Chicago style pie - nope. I'd even take Escape from NY over these guys. Sheesh, can't anyone in PDX make a proper East-coast pizza?
Dam good pizza – This is by far my favorite pizza in Portland. Tons of toppings and cheese combined with their great crust make a pie that is really tough to beat. I would highly recomend this place to any pizza fan.
