Should have listened to the reviews I scheduled an appointment at the Snelling location. After reading a few of the not so good reviews I figured i'd try to give it the benefit of the doubt. When I got there I had to wait a little while so I was just observing. There was nothing personal about it. You could clearly tell they were just trying to get people in and out as quickly as possible. Nobody looked happy and the atmosphere was uninviting. I ended up leaving before I was even called up.
Wouldn't go anywhere else! I have been going to Roccos in the Galleria for literally 23 years. The first people to ever touch my hair at Roccos were Richard and Rocco himself. I have seen many stylists and several color technicians over the years and I have to say that overall, I love the salon! I see Louisa for color and Erika for cuts and they are both very sweet and personable. They really listen to what I want and expect instead of doing what they want to my hair. Rocco Altobelli Galleria I recently went to Rocco Altobelli in the Galleria and had the worst experience with Alex. She is meant to be one of the most senior stylists there and you pay the price but she has done an aweful job and one would consider her to be very junior since she really can make you have the worst experience. She put layers in that would not blend at all and it looks like you have two disjointed parts of hair- one really short and the other really long. Worth the flight!!!! I fly to Minn every 6-8 weeks and have my hair done at salon in IDS.....when I return to Chicago, everyone asks me when I am going to fly Michelle and Jay to Chicago to do their hair!!!! They love it!!!
left high and dry I have been left high and dry by the last 3 stylists at the Roseville Salon. From leaving in the middle of the night to start a new salon to having a baby and never returning, I have been left without a stylist now for the third time and I think I will move on and out. The last stylist I had told me I "couldn't" have the sides of my hair cut as short as I wanted. Seriously? Who says that to a client? burnsville salon:-) I've been to Roccos in Edina several times, always happy with color and cut but salon looks like it hasn't been remodeled since the 80's and if you like being around fake its good. Plus I feel they have so many stylist come and go its hard to stick to just one person cause they leave the company. Never would go back... I felt like cattle at this place. My normal stylist was out with the flu and I didn't have time to reschedule with her a couple weeks down the road so I called Rocco Altobelli to see if there were openings because I had heard good things in the past from other people. What a mistake!!! Not only was the colorist running a half an hour behind, I was charged $30.00 more than I should have been because I needed an extra half bottle of color applied to my hair. Horrible Coloring at a Shocking Price! What a disappointment! What a disappoint! Just because the girls are sweet doesn't mean they do a great job with hair. I called and asked for a "low tier" person to do my coloring & cut as that is what I budgeted for. The colorist (Paris) consulted with me on what I wanted and what she would do. Where's Annabelle? You Rocked! I've lived in Minneapolis for 4 years and have been searching the whole time for a stylist that's creative and really understands what I want for a cut. I went to Rocco's in the IDS about a month ago and Annabelle gave me the best hair cut--I got so many compliments on it--and still do! Now Annabelle is no longer there--if anyone knows where she went please let me know!!
