I am a personal trainer and fitness instructor; therefore, I was very picky about the type of hip replacement surgery I wanted. I wanted an orthopedic surgeon that performed anterior hip replacement and did not want any muscles cut. I was referred to Dr. Robert Namba. He was amazing! I had this surgery three years ago at age 63. I am extremely happy with how the surgery turned out and how perfectly, 100% normal my hip is functioning. Thank you Dr. Namba for giving me my athletic life back!
Dr. Namba has been my doctor for 20 years and has performed 3 of my 5 hip replacement. I can recommend him enough - he's not only an incredibly skilled doctor, but also he's a lovely person with kind and gentle bedside manner.
I received a total hip replacement in August of 2016. After only 4 months I was able to snow ski. I go to the gym 4-5 days a week, golf pain free and am gradually regaining flexibility after years of extreme pain. I only wish I hadn't put it off for so many years. Dr. Namba and the entire surgical team and staff at Kaiser were fantastic. He described exactly what would happen, how he expected me to progress and gave me confidence that I had arrived at the correct decision. Highly recommend.
God guided me to him. All my life I was ppo heath insurance. This time I have Kaiser. I had to wait for him 8 months to have my knee surgery. Everywhere I go even in Home Depot, people talked so good about him. Even they looked at scar on your knee, they know that Dr. Nampa 's knee. I am so confident with his wonderful talent and his excellent staffs. Even I could not see him as much as I want but I know a lot of patients need him. A very long list. Thank you very much, Dr. Namba.

I would recommend Dr. Namba to all my friends and people I encounter who seek advice about hip replacement surgery. Three months after surgery, I could not be happier with my recovery from a total hip replacement which allowed me to continue my love for dog training and active lifestyle at age 67. The OR team was efficient in every way with the surgery preparation and gave me comfort when I needed it the most, both physically and mentally. The three month wait was well worth my surgery. JT
