There is no doubt that Roanoke Animal Clinic deals with a LOT of "patients" but their staff are compassionate, caring, and dedicated. I believe I would seek them out no matter where I was stationed on the Outer Banks should something happen to my dog.
Simply the best! Very good at answering questions and researching all options. My dogs are in GREAT hands with this group,
Roanoke Island Animal Clinic has taken care of my dogs (and me) for over 26 years. Most recently (the last 13 years) they helped me raise my twin boys - Buddy & Karl - Golden Retrievers. Every visit I felt like I was visiting family. They always hugged and cuddled my pups as if they were their own. They held me as I cried when I lost Karl last month. I have no doubt that when it is time to find another pup I will turn to Dr. Burkhart and her team.
The staff were wonderful. They all were helpful and genuine. I would recommend them to anyone. Dr Elliott was thought and took care of my golden.
Absolutely amazing. I had to bring my 13 year old American bulldog in on an after hours emergency to be euthanized and Dr. Hayes was so great. She met us there and made the whole experience ( as hard as it was ) as easy as she could for us. She made me a pawprint cast, which was such a thoughtful idea. I ended up having him cremated.... And they were so caring and sweet when i picked him up. There was even a little keepsake of his fur. I highly recommend them and will be bringing all my future animals there. �

We rushed our dog, Luna up on a Saturday morning. She was showing sign of something wrong we just couldn't figure out what. So thankful they checked everything and it was pieces of bone in her stomach and an infection. Home for two days and she is back to her active self!
