If you or your family needs a GI doctor in Tucson, AZ, I would recommend to visit Dr. Safdar. My Mom was recently treated by Dr. Safdar at the Northwest Hospital and received excellent care and treatment by this doctor. He performed PEG replacement and she is now very comfortable with the tube. I am really appreciative of his care. Excellent and dedicated doctor.

My visit was to set up a procedure that he had performed almost 3 years before and we knew that the problem might occur in the future. Since it has, he Placed me on the calendar for a repeat. This visit was set up when elective surgery was finally ok’d to be performed by surgeons after their absolute shutdown. Unfortunately they were delayed and my appointment was an hour late.

Have been a patient for over 4 years. He is very knowledgeable. Treated me for ulcerative colitis. Performed a pair of colonoscopies for me. I especially value that he spends time with me, explains things, offers choices, allows time for questions. Has been accessible by phone when I have been traveling.

I spent most of 2019 in and out of Dr. Safdar's office and I have only rarely met so thorough and caring a physician. Dr. Safdar conveyed information, relative to my condition, with clarity and empathy: a truly rare combination in today's "fifteen-minutes-of-managed-care" medical environment.

This is the WORST "Dr." I have ever been to. I am not sure what his credentials are but I have no doubt that he has zero skill in the simple routine procedure of a colonoscopy. I have had severe pain and troubles with my intestines since I received a colonoscopy from this man 2 YEARS AGO. He put me under general anesthesia after he said I would be awake during the procedure. Who knows what he did to me while I was unconscious. I am still suffering from our encounter. He was also rude and seemed like a miserable person. He ha... read more
