Our cat, Rio, was attacked by a dog, and while there was no physical injury, bleeding, puncture wounds that we could see, he was not himself. He’s a big boy (fat cat) but he wouldn’t walk, eat or drink, so we took him first thing this morning to this emergency vet and they were amazing. From the receptionist, to the tech that triaged him, and the veterinarian who came in to let us know what was going on, I knew we were in good hands. We have come here with a few pets in the past couple months and have had nothing but good service! Everyone is so kind and efficient. They communicate well about what’s happening and care about the animals that they’re providing for. They also understand that not everyone is rich and can afford everything under the sun. They have great options for those that need financial help in these situations.

So I just want to give thanks to the folks at the RIVER vet clinic. We've just recently finished our 3rd visit to this hospital. This most recent experience has been the most harrowing, when our cat knocked over a pill box and ate a bunch of ADHD meds. I call RIVER at 5am on a Sunday, and, by God, they are ready. They have the number to poison control so I can get case set up, and they make me call on the way to the hospital so they can have clear instructions on how to treat our kitty. I am so thankful I was referred here for my dog's surgery! Dr. Wearing and the whole team are absolutely fantastic. My dog is a stubborn old lady and I wasn't sure how she would do with the procedure. All the support we received while under VCA's care was wonderful. Thank you for helping us!

I wish these guys treated humans! I was sure we were going to lose Timber after he got shanked by something deep into hind quarters and lost a huge patch of skin. The hand-off between my vet, Mountain Hospital for Animals and VCA was seamless during off hours. When we got to VCA, they were already up to speed on situation, staff was friendly and knowledgeable, transparent & reasonable on pricing in advance of administering care (US Healthcare take notes), and care was top notch.
