Living here isn't all that bad I'm kinda a neutral about it. My only issue here is that my air conditioner keeps going out. I asked for it to be fix on Tuesday and they guaranteed me it would be fixed today and it's still not fixed. Its summer time plus I'm pregnant so I can't sleep in the heat. The past two nights my body has over heated to the point I have an asthma attack. Thank God it's been raining all week so the apartment doesn't get too hot but it's still not comfortable being 80 degrees either.
This is a great place to live! Tanya really knows how to take care of her tenants. Not to mention their very welcoming and personable approach to everyone. There's no breed restrictions in the community and their service manager David and his team are available 24/7 for maintenance issues in the units. The place is quiet, there's a dog park for your furry friends, the landscaping is well kept and groomed, the units come with a fire place and the granite kitchen countertops are amazing! Management here is great. They were both more than willing to help with any issues we had, and resolved within a reasonable timeframe. Great location, close to everything but still far enough away from city noise. The new renovations make them look great, and the property is well maintained. The only downside to living there for the 6 months we did was the train, and other tenants not picking up after their dogs. If we were to be living back in the area, this is where we'd want to rent from again!!
River Oaks is an awesome place to live and call home. Thanks for all the new amenities and for actually keeping the property clean. Big difference from the old River Oaks.
I waited 2 months for them to get rid of my rats which they kept promising and I had to continuously do myself. I got charged an additional 410 on move out for "damages" after a representative that works there did a walk through and told my my apartment was late. I waited a week for my heater to be fixed. Very poorly run place that will scam you.
I am very sad to say we will be leaving in 2 short weeks only due to a pcs move. River Oaks has been amazing to us. Great place to live, great management and great leasing consultant! If we ever come back to Ft. Hood, I would not hesitate to come back to River Oaks. My husband was gone for a year and I NEVER had any problems. Very quiet community. I'm definitely going to miss it.
