Terrible Airbrush Tan! – I read the reviews on Citysearch about this place so I thought I would give it a try and it was one of the worst airbrush tans I've ever gotten. Anna sprayed me with a clear spray and the next day I had a big patch of skin that didn't have any color on it. The color didn't look very natural and for the amount of money I paid it should have looked much better than this. I had better expectations than this, but I guess I will have to keep on searching for the right place.
Thank God for John! He restored what Salon AKS ruined! – My hair was absolutely ruined at Salon AKS by their colorist named J.Antony and in desperation I went to the experts at Rita Hazan. I wish this had been my first stop! A colorist named John restored the wreck that the other man created. My hair went from green to gorgeous when John removed the green and ash roots that AKS charged me a couple hundred bucks for. From a Long-Time Client: Here are the Pros and Cons – I've been Rita's client for years - first at her old salon, now at her new one - and I've never written her a review, and given the mixed ones here, I thought I would contribute my perspective. BEST SPRAY TAN IN NY- ANNA S !!!!!!!!! – I swear by Anna, she does the best spray tan in New York, You dont feel uncomfortable, she makes you laugh. I am very fair skinned of Mediterranean descent and have yet to meet someone that hasn't thought this was my natural skin color. The end result with Anna is a beautiful bronze. I would follow her anywhere to any salon.I hope she starts doing house calls!!!!
Amazing service, Amazing results, everytime...... – I have to admit ,while reading other reviews I cant help but think the bad reviews were written by women who have some alterior motive . Very disappointing - rushed, rude service – My colorist was John. I asked for strawberry blonde highlights and I came out with Julianne Moore's dark red hair color - all over! I am still not sure how my NATURAL base color (which is blonde) changed when I asked for highlights. The one book I was shown did not feature strawberry blonde as an option (I should have left then). Too much attitutde and the spray tan was horrible – I thought I would give this place a try since seeing Rita Hazan on Oprah. Her salon is very nice but certain people on her staff have major attitude and don't make you feel comfortable at all. I got the full body spray tan with Anna. A FACTORY! – I recently had color with "the Rita Hazan" herself and besides just being rough around the edges she was rude,sloppy and dis-interested! The salon itself is a bit romper room-ish. It is also filled with clients and more so STAFF that thrive on feeling like they themselves are celebrities. The color was nothing to write home about especially after seeing three other clients' color come out looking exactly like mine.
