I went to salon twice and will not return. I loved my haircut with Christine Healy. She was very nice and down to earth. On the other hand Rita was not very welcoming and actually the opposite. She made me feel like because i wasn't a celebrity i wasn't worth her time. Also her prices were ridiculous. My friends hair was 3x as long as mine and i was charged way more. My hair wasn't damaged either so it wasn't because of that. I will go back to Vidal Sassoon because they made me feel welcome and liked. Once again I don't care... read more

I have been getting highlights for over 10 years and never had an experience like this---Carlina was the colorist and my hair came out white. I asked for natural highlight and it looked like peroxide was used. The Assistant put a brown liquid all over my hair . Someone told me it was a toner. I hate it it looks like there is an orange glow and it is the farthest from natural. I would never go back to this salon and I would never use Carlina if your looking for a natural healthy looking hair.

I'm used to going to John Barrett in Bergdorf, but I followed my colorist, Carlina to Rita Hazan because she's the best for color anywhere. I loved it. It has a great vibe and now color goddess, Carlina. Perfect match!

few years ago and how amazing it is. After going to Metodo Rossano Ferretti ( fantastic salon!) I decided to give Rita a try. After spending more the $600 I requested Rita to do my hair. To my expectations Rita excused herself as being "to busy" so I was ok with another stylist. After hair blower end up exploding in front of my face! I left salon with burned and bleached hair even tho I have allergies on bleach and clearly said not to bleach my hair!. Never again!.

please don't go – Experience in Rita Hazan salon was overall bad. If you pay such a big money for your hairdresser or makeup artist you should get nice treat. I was amazed that hairstylist talked behind their customers. Non acceptable attitude. It made me feel very vulnerable and bad after I left salon. My makeup artist was a nicest guy but did not take my previous makeup properly away, did not do basement (under the makeup at all..)so makeup did not last long.I do better job myself. Are you here for hair or a hug?? – Listen, you make an appointment and pay the money for the service. You're hair is a mess and needs an update. Rita may not coddle you, but she tells you like it is. She is up front about pricing and the fact that this takes time and it may not even be exactly what you want you're first time, but after a few visits, you're hair will not only be the color you seek, but will be healthy as well. Rita is Horrible – So, I decided to fork up the $ for Rita. The color was fine, nothing special, my hair was a little dry and just a little brassy. I thought it looked okay. I read that she was rude but I didn't want to believe it. Honestly, though, she really is rude and condescending. She wanted me to lighten my base and then get highlights. AMAZING COLORIST – I loved the color I got from Rita yesterday! I have gone through no less than 4 colorists in the last 6 months in an attempt to correct my brassy highlights. Discouraged, I decided to invest in Rita to correct my hair color. Within a few hours, she had made my hair color exactly what I wanted. Incredible!! So worth the investment!!!
