the staff here is rude and there is no follow up - they send you for a test, no call back, then when you have to call and question the results then you deal with nasty staff then you are told the doctor has 7-10 days to respond. if its important enough to have the test then there should be urgency to give you the results
Bad experience...staff did not refer me to physical therapy as promised. Colon test results were misread; informed me that it was positive when in fact it was negative. When confronted with the situation, no one took responsibility. Dr. Hightower & insurance company were informed. RUN!!!! M. Salomon (Pooler, GA)
Be sure to have any questions ready. Visits, especially follow up visits, are very rushed and superficial. Otherwise seems very competent when he takes the time. The online web page (personal health page) is mediocre (inaccuracies, incomplete, etc.)

Couldn't be more pleased with the care I receive and the nurse's are always wonderful. There are times I need him at the last minute and he or they always get me in. He cares about his patients.
Dr. Hightower is a great doctor and is very communicative. He has time to answer my questions and never makes me feel rushed when he is in the room. His support staff, Jennifer and Niesha are very professional and kind. It's always a good experience going there.
I believe Southcoast physians are pressured to spend as little time with patients as possible. Dr Hightower’s decisions suffer because of this.
Dr. Hightower is the best physician I ever had in my life in which I lived on all continents.
When I relocated from Atlanta, I was apprehensive about my next doctor, however, concerns were put at rest when I met Dr Hightower. He actively listens to my concerns, is very compassionate, warm and genuinely cares for the wellbeing of his patients. Dr Hightower is simply the best.
