Compationate, empathetic, through. Don't hesitate to say " I don't know, and refer to a specialist.
Dr Hightower and staff are great! I've been going to him for years. It is very helpful that he saves a few appointments each day for patients who are acutely ill. I have always been able to get a last minute appointment. A few times it had to be with another doctor in the practice but that's okay-I was seen and was not sent to the ER (as can be the practice in some medical offices in Savannah). The patient portal works very well. I always get prompt copies of my lab and imaging tests in the mail
Mr. Hightower is very rude and not professional especially to family member of his elderly patients. I wouldn't go to see him if he was the last, so called, doctor on the planet. Patient care? He is a waste of time and money. Shame on you Richard. You are not worthy of the Dr. title. Retire if you dislike your job instead of putting family members in termoil. It never hurts to be nice. I am certain that he will never read this but someone will. I feel sorry for your staff.
He is not a Doctor but a very mean and hateful man. Patient care is awful. He makes decisions without asking questions. When patient or a family member tries to explain, he gets rude and condescending. Richard has become incompetent. My grandmother has been a patient of his for many years but the last two years it seems he no longer cares about his patients. Quit the practice if you a miserable!
Dr. Hightower has be my primary physician for the past year. I have been very satisfied with all aspects of his medical service. I've recently encouraged my wife to change from her provider to Dr. Hightower.
I have never had a visit with such an incompetent doctor. I am 69 years old and this was a new patient exam. No discussion about a flu vaccine, no physical exam, told me to go my cholesterol meds because they may be causing the leg pain I have. Didn't tell me to come back to check my cholesterol level. I was upset because he told me he didn't have my medical records that I had sent from another state. When I complained he said, "we have hundreds of records, their probably here somewhere."
Patient care is awful. He makes decisions without asking questions. When patient tries to explain, he gets rude and condescending. When treatment fails, he says give it a few days. When that fails, he says give it a week or more. Further tests are delayed because his office forgets to submit the paperwork. I have been a patient of his for many years but the last two years it seems he no longer cares about his patients. Just wants to get you in and out in less than five minutes.
Not a long wait time.
Dr. Hightower treats his patients with caring, compassion, dignity and respect. He listens and answers concerns then makes suggestions. He partners in your healthcare and gives choices.
