I LOVE coming to Richard Herrera! Kate is a hair wizard and knew exact,y what to do with my finicky hair from my first visit. Everyone at the salon is so friendly, and they have a great selection of products. Definitely recommend!

Richard Herrera Salon ROCKS! Everyone there is so nice and helpful! From the moment you are greeted through the time you pay for services, the experience is great! I love Kate B. at RH, I decided to ombre my hair (the first time i have ever dyed my hair) and she did an amazing job and made me feel really comfortable. So much so, that i have gone back to her ever since to cut my hair. I am convinced she can do no wrong!

Excellent salon, friendly, and appointments are as booked. Michael does my hair on a regular basis and is always able to know what I am wanting. She does an awesome job. Highly recommended.

Had an appointment with Melissa M and I have to say she did a great job on my hair color. She took her time listening to what I wanted and was able to translate that into a great hair color and style that looks fantastic. Richard Herrera has a very friendly and relaxed style. I've been impressed with Richard Herrera About Hair since my first visit, 3.5 years ago. Michele is my stylist and I highly recommend her to the many women who comment on my hair. She's talented, personable, reliable and communicates extremely well with her clients. Bad hair days are a thing of the past! I've had the opportunity to observe the other stylists in the salon and they all seem to be capable and creative. This is not an inexpensive salon but the results are worth it.

I have been to Hickox, Edward Wadsworth, Magnum Opus and Evolution over the years. It seemed as though a stylist might do a great job on the color, but style not so great. Or, he might do a great cut, but the color was just not right. I decided to try the Richard Hererra Salon since it was close to my office and I had seen it for years. Melissa always does a great job on my color, and she and Raul have given me excellent cuts. This is an awesome salon. Go here for the best color/cut you'll find in Portland - and ask for Deborah. She's worked miracles on my hair. I feel like there's nothing she can't do (I have thick curly hair that's been three different colors since I started going to her). I've never had a cut I didn't like. Deborah really listens to what you want. She's smart, and cares a lot about giving you the cut/color you're looking for. I wish I knew more people in Portland who needed a stylist.
