Classy but not pretentious – I was going to another salon in midtown for a couple of years, and was tired of the snobby attitude and feeling like a stranger every time I showed up. RM is awesome - it is classy but not snobby, everyone is very friendly. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.

This spacious salon is a real find for coloring. Great colorists and attentive assistants.

A diamond in a haystack – This salon was a true find. The best haircut I have ever had and the blow dry lasted for nearly 4 days. New York can be a confusing city. There is an abundance of everything. I went to the salon not knowing what to expect. But as I walked through the doors I felt at ease. The salon is beautiful and it is relaxing. You feel your in a special place when you walk in. Everyone is polite and friendly. I had an amazing head massage and the best haircut ever.

Not the place to go . . . – Not the place to go if you want consistent waxing and nails done without having to worry about what the wax/nailcare/facialist in residence is going to do to you without your permission. She talks too much during the work (waxing is a precise job!) and makes too many mistakes. Moreover, she does ask your opinion of the things that she wants to try. I have been to her a few times (she shall continue to remain unnamed) but I have since found the best place to go: J Sisters (57th btw 5&6).
