A Night Out – We love Rey's. Its the restaurant my husband knows is always a sure hit when we have out of town family or business meals. We also enjoy going when its just the two of us. You don't feel rushed to leave. You can enjoy your wine before dinner and your dessert time. Wonderful food. We especially love the Pork Loin. Rey is sometimes in the restaurant and makes our special out of town guest feel welcomed and special. Hope you enjoy.
The Perfect Date Night Restaurant! – Romantic Ambiance, Excellent Food, Wonderful Wait Staff, we'll be back again soon! I tried the Turtle soup on the recommendations of other reviewers and I'm glad I did. It was wonderful and the added sherry took it over the top. If you're not sure which wine to order ask your server, their recommendations were right on the money. Missed the New Orleans Flare – Wow - I had high expecations based on the 9.7 point ranking, but Rey's didn't live up to the mark. The marketing tag line says "Fine Dining with a French Quarter Flare", but they forgot the french quarter. There are more Italian items on the menu than there are French Quarter specialties!
Thank you, from NHS Drafting Students – Rey provided a special dinner for many of the drafting students that helped to provide artwork for Rey's. The students loved the service, food, and attention. Rey, Chef Jerry, Mike, Tom, Tim, Drew, Luis, Angie, Marie, Stacy, Jessica, and all the staff member came into the Mardi Gras room to let the students know how wonderful their work is and to provide encouragement. Cajun Stuffed Fish – Tonight Jerry's special was cajun stuffed fish. It was the best fish I have ever tasted. The Talapia (I think that is how it's spelled) was stuffed with shrimp, crawfish, and lobster in a creole sauce. My husband and I thought we had died and gone to heaven. I love the way Rey lets Jerry get creative with his specials. The French Quarter chefs could learn a lot from Rey and Jerry.
Wow! We really loved this place! – We tried out Rey's last night, and it was fantastic! First of all, the customer service is EXECELLENT! We really enjoyed the food and thought that everything was very reasonably priced. There seemed to be plenty of menu selections. The bread and food came out fast (but not too fast) and hot right out of the oven. The dinner portions were very large, and we really did not need a side dish. The coffee after dinner was absolutely the best we've tasted. This restaurant truly impressed us!
Better Food, Better Prices @ Rey's – I have been to other fine dining establishments and steakhouse-style restaurants in the area, and Rey's is by far the best! The food is of exceptional quality and the prices are comparitively less! I love the Voodoo lounge with the cozy couches and fireplace. The bar staff is fun, yet still very professional. The ambience all over the restaurant is great, too, fully decorated with local artwork. This place has got character...A must try!
An Adventure Every Time We Go – My husband and I are from New Orleans and have searched 15 years to find a place that was like home. Finally Reys opened and we found oysters cooked perfectly and food with great flavor. We go 3 to 4 times a week and split a salad, entree, and a side. We still have food to take home for lunch, and we are losing weight. I love the owner, the staff, and the chefs, they are the greatest. I love the ever changing artwork, and the feeling of finally being back home again.
How could you say no? Say yes to Rey's – We (my significant other and I) took our friend Lisa and her husband Mark to dinner at Rey's. The service was unbelievable! The food, cooked to perfectionn.
