Great service. Hugh Allan took time to fix my transcription when i called to ask for an edit. Its great to have a rep just take the 10 minutes to fix something rather than send it to others in the company.

They do not live by their own standards they set. I was with them over a year and got a low score on 1 case (that’s it) They gave me a time frame to “improve my quality of work” for them which I did. They waited for me to get a perfect score on a case and locked my on that day? None of it is based on logic at all they just put people’s accounts on the chopping block randomly. It you haven’t had your account locked yet you will.

For freelance workers ... you’ll get paid LESS than minimum wage at Rev because 90% of the files have horrendous audio quality, crosstalk, etc. You won’t get paid for ongoing training (only paid - again less than minimum wage - for a few initial practice files) but yet will be subjected to strict QC where your account can very quickly be closed if you’re not meeting the metrics. You’ll make more money working at a fast food restaurant.

I'm disabled and I feel that they have violated my rights under the Disability Act. I would never recommend this company for anything.

From the grunt workers perspective, this company is atrocious to work for. They have inconsistent grading and the pay is absolutely dismal for what they expect. They scrub their reviews on sites like Glassdoor (Glassdoor shows in excess of 700 reviews, yet when you go to the site and look at them (no filters in place) there are 48 reviews. This company is a scam that has learned how to game reviews and exploit their contractors.

I really enjoyed the work until I did not get paid. I finished my training and completed several jobs. The pay is supposed to be weekly, yet I did not and have not been paid for my work. I inquired four different times about rectifying the situation and received no response. I did everything the company required and am disheartened by the lack of professionalism shown by this company.

I do transcription for a living (9 years). I type 80+wpm and was denied employment with this company. I emailed them and asked for a detailed description as to why. I was given the excuse of "All applications are reviewed. Unfortunately, we cannot provide specific feedback as to why we chose not to move forward with the submitted application. Best, — *** ******** *** ************* ********** ********** I'm wondering WHY they "cannot" provide specific feedback. Seems scammy.

Terrible and untrustworthy Theses people are thieves, crooks and liars! They will lie to you and steal from you and go to church afterward. Lack of professionalism and management. AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE!

I've just had multiple transcriptions done through Rev. All were one on one conversations in a quiet room with no background noise. Out of 40 transcripts, 5 of them were high quality. The rest were AWFUL: the transcript does not match the tape to the point where it just makes no sense. There are filled with spelling errors. I've been giving rev consistent feedback about the low quality. They do not offer a refund or even a partial refund, just to do the transcript again, which would again yield a 12% chance of it being a goo... read more
