I went in for a new patient appointment. In under 5 minutes, this doctor and her tech had uttered the words “biopsy” and “surgery” to me, even before we went over the new patient questionnaire. I asked her about it, and her response was, that is what is generally done with patients my age. But she knew nothing of me, my high activity level, some of which was the likely contributor to my symptoms. Dr. Lukman and Dr. Patel are by far the best obgyn doctors. Dr. Lukman and Dr. Patel have amazing bedside manners and always made me feel comfortable and cared for. Dr. Lukman always made time for all my questions and concerns. I never felt like she was rushing through our appointments. Dr Patel was on call for the day I delivered and she made me feel at ease. I am honestly confused as to if the people leaving bad reviews have seen Dr. Lukman. It seems like they had an appointment with another Doctor in the same practice. I never had bad appointment with Dr. Lukman. She's pleasant and answers all my questions in person & via msg.
If you want to be treated like trash then I would recommend going to this obgyn. The doctors in this UCLA obgyn practice are terrible. During my pregnancy they misplaced blood and urine samples, or sent them in for the wrong test, failed to follow up with me when CTs showed abnormalities, and almost killed me during the delivery of my child. They fail to show common courtesy or care, which is not something a pregnant person should ever have to deal with. In fact, for most of my pregnancy I was fat shamed by this doctor. Do y... read more
I can confirm the less than optimal bedside manner. Pregnancy and conceiving are sensitive topics. A doctor should not be asking things in such a way as to make a patient feel defensive. I also had two bad blood draws, when the nurse could have just followed the puncture mark to the basilic vein tapped when I had an IV catheter inserted a few days ago.
