I have endured floaters for years and finally reached the point where action was needed. My optometrist recommended Dr. Shane and I"m extremely glad he did. He and his staff are extremely caring, forthcoming with explanations and display the utmost professionalism. He recently conducted a vitrectomy on my right eye and now vision is 3x clearer than before the procedure. I can't recommend him highly enough. When you go see him, bring along a bag of cheese curds. He's a Wisconsin Badger!

My eye doctor referred me to Dr. Thomas Shane after I had a detached retina in the left eye. I was seen immediately and Dr. Shane performed an emergency procedure in his office and 5 days later he performed the major surgery. It was a complete success. I cannot praise Dr. Shane and his entire office staff enough. Every follow-up appointment I had, I never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. The compassion and professional treatment I received was so comforting to me and my husband.

Dr. Shane is a very knowledgeable, professional eye care retinal physician, who truely cares about his patients. I woke up on a Saturday morning and had colorful flashes in the corner of my right eye, then I developed a circular floater which scared me. I was concerned that I was having a retina tear and when I called his office, he had me come in that Saturday afternoon to check my eyes. He and his staff were very thoughtful, comforting and reassuring. I am very impressed!

I had suddenly developed scary symptoms making me wonder if I had a retinal tear or detachment. The staff was very kind and concerned and got me in the same day even though I would be a new patient. Dr Shane and ALL his staff was quick and efficient. Dr Shane was completely thorough to explain all the details of his exam, even the "what if's" in layman terms. Very professional and gentle, not rushed nor distant. Nice man and office,,....would recommend

I had a great experience at Retina Care Consultants. The staff was very helpful, and Dr. Shane was very professional and thorough. Unlike with most doctors, Dr Shane's appointments are scheduled and adhered to, there is practically no wait time.. I highly recommend Dr. Shane and his staff.

Dr. Shane's office was able to provide me with a same-day appointment after a referral from my GP. From Colleen at reception/scheduling to Glennis, Dr. Shane and rest of his team - I was treated with kindness and compassion. I was most especially surprised with their time management, flexibility and ability to see me right away. Dr. Shane's thorough examination gave me new insight into my eye health that a previous visit to another dr. never had.

Comfortable offices, competent and caring staff, and a doctor with fine bedside manner. The nurses understood my aversion to holding my eyes open for drops, and powered through it for me, which took a load off my mind. Dr. Shane talked my family and I through my symptoms, and gave very solid, satisfying answers when we had questions. Excellent experience overall.

When first referred to Dr. Shane I called their office to confirm insurance coverage for the procedure. I was called back a little while later by their insurance coordinator. Nothing special except for that was her day off and she called me from home! The day before my appointment I received a call to remind and confirm by Dr. Shane himself. The staff was attentive and friendly without any problems. All was explained clearly at my appointment with no time delays or long wait.
