Only giving one star because I have to rate them something. We had the worst week in the Outer Banks in my 45 years of renting. The house was extremely dirty when we got there Saturday. This was a pet friendly house, but NO ONE cleaned up, including the cleaning crew, before we got there. The furniture was covered in pet hair, and there was dog mess on one of the rugs downstairs. We've rented houses in the outer banks for years and this is the worst rental company experience we've ever had. The house was not clean upon arrival, the refrigerator was broken the entire week, the toilet was not secured to the floor properly, the furniture on the outside deck was covered in spider webs and dead bugs and all was reported to them on the first day and they only fixed the toilet. On checkout day they changed the entry number on the door thirty minutes before checkout.
This is a review of the WOW house located in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Do not go by the pictures that you see on the website for this house. I was expecting the house to be out - dated and was ok with it, but there were problems from the moment we walked in. I think it will be easier for me to list them as follows: 1. Where do I start. When we first arrived it looked as though the only thing that was done to clean the house was that someone blindly ran a vacuum over the carpets and that was it. There are multiple repair issues with the house that are safety concerns and when brought to the attention of Resort Realty they told us that the house is habitable and that under their contract we are out of luck. We're so sorry for your less than satisfactory stay at WOW House. Ruth, the property manager, has put in work orders for all issues that were brought to our attention. Ruth did notify our Housekeeping Manager and a new cleaning crew was sent out to the property. Ruth did take your concerns to the General Manager of the company; she did not disregard your complaints nor take them lightly.
