Upon making my appointment, I specifically asked to see my regular dentist (Dr. Vanzina) as it has been >1.5 years since I have seen her. Upon my arrival at my appointment, I was told by the hygienist (not the receptionist) that Dr. Vanzina was on vacation. I did not receive a phone call or any prior notification. I was given the option of postponing my appointment but I declined. At the end of my appointment at my request, I had Dr. Bahl provide an examination. The dentist filling in for mine (who doesn't work Fridays) was super helpful and nice.
I have been coming to PADG for over 20 years, and I have never once missed an appointment. (I never miss appointments.) Still, I get multiple phone calls and emails before every single hygiene appt. I don't need 5 reminders - I don't even need one. Why not just charge the idiots who don't show up, and not pay for a person to sit at the phone all day?
I bet not too many people say they enjoy going to their dentist's office. I do!!
