I found the hygienist to be excessively chatty. She also had a tendency to talk to me as if I were a child, which was off-putting. The actual cleaning work she did was good, but I did not like her bedside manner. When you've got a bunch of instruments in your mouth, you're a captive audience, and hygienists should respect your right to not have to listen to their every thought and observation.
Cathy was the hygienist I saw at my recent appointment and she deserves many kudos. The clinic was running late due to a patient emergency and I had to wait over 15 minutes for my appointment. She apologized profusely, thanked me for my patience, explained what had happened, and offered me additional toothbrushes and toothpaste samples to compensate for the wait. Patty was fantastic! I wish I could have her every time I go there. It's frustrating not being able to see the same hygienist regularly. Their schedules are too erratic to get one person consistently. I've been going to PADG for 3 years and Patty was the first hygienist to really explain my situation to me. I wish this had been happening at every visit so far.
I have been a patient here for over 40 years, first of Dr. Gerpheide and now Dr. Scott. I wish your Xray technician had smaller film inserts for adults with tiny mouths. She crams them in to the point that they dig into the side of my mouth. Then I gag and she crams them in again. I will never have bite wings done at your office again.
Dr. Bahl was exceedingly thoughtful and kind with a somewhat emergency situation.
Ruth had an especially difficult job cleaning my teeth after a long absence. She made the cleaning as painless as possible. Also gave some hints on better brushing. She is the only person I want to have clean my teeth.
Dr. Keller has been serving me for 35 years. My son and I still drive from SF and Oakland to have our dental exams. Never disappointed.

This is the second hygiene appointment I have had with Ruth. I am impressed with the cleaning she does on my teeth and her overall demeanor. And, of course, Dr. Scott is the best!
