Nothing new then other reviews. They take their time with the application and you get turned down. Apparently they make more money this way. It took 2 weeks to get an answer. They also hard to reach over the phone, don't even bother. Lack of professionalism.

I lived for almost 4 years in a condo and RMS were my property management. I never had a problem with them and they were always very quick if I needed something. Great service, when I moved out they were very fair with my deposit and move out situation. I totally recommend this company. Very professional and nice people.

Absolutely would not rent from this company. Extremely unprofessional, ripped me off for my deposit, and are now charging renters $100 more for the same crappy apartment (saw the ad on Craigslist). Desperate renters beware and stay away

RMS has been amazing. I chose them for management because I actually rented from them many years ago and they always took good care of the place and I got my full deposit back and they were always really nice on the phone. They do a good job of staying in contact with me, they call if anything breaks at the house, they let me know if the rent isn't in yet, I really couldn't ask for anything more. Two thumbs up.

Incompetent to the point of being Absurd! I arranged a time to look at a very nice $950 studio apartment, the agent was on time but did not have the building door code so we had to sneak in behind another tenant in order to get up to see the apartment. I actually really liked the apartment and wanted it, I asked the agent if anybody else wanted it and he told me that others had looked at it but nobody had applied yet. Never would I recommend this company, total ripoff, charged for paint (no big deal), fleas(umm it is all hardwood, no pets ever, not sure where they get fleas from), blinds(we bought and installed those blinds that were in there) no we did not buy blinds for all the windows either, general cleaning (no big deal), late key return(no big deal), really frustrating that they take advantage of people, but I wouldn't expect anything less, 99% of rental company's are crooks, I know this because I worked for a collection agency up u... read more

I need to give it up for RMS. I had an interesting situation come up with this organization in the last couple of days, and the positive experience I had in working with RMS is worth sharing with people who may do business with them. I have not moved in yet - I move in next month. However, in looking for an affordable, sizable place to live I came across RMS on Craig's List. I have next to no recent rental history, as the economic downturn found me apartment hopping, and even leaving the country for an extended volunteer gig - all hard to verify. Rental Management Services Rules! – They follow the rules and they are clear to both tenants and owners. What more could you ask of a business that has to answer to everyone. In my opinion they are the best property managers in Portland.
