I went to the store on Jan 4 to furnish an apartment for 6-months having just arrived into town to start a new job. I was referred to this store by the property manager of the new apartment who had two previous tenants who were in town for a short project also and furnished their apartments through R-a-C. One of the worst decision I could have made! Please read! I financed mattress from Bob's Discount Furniture through Acceptance. I have paid on a mattress since August 2020. They trick you by offering a $49.00 enrollment making the customer feel like they are getting a real discount. This is a trick! Buyer beware! I found out today, of my $901.01 balance, only 40 % of my $165.53 every 4 week payment will not go towards the balance. The remaining 60% will go towards finance charges. About three months ago I started getting calls from Rent-A-Center in ******* NH. This is where I'll mention I have never rented your products. Nor was I ever a willing reference for someone interested in renting. Imagine getting constant voice mails addressed to someone else. What would be your first thought? Fraud. That's what I thought. Tardigrade power recliner. Wanted to give Commendation to Marquis in delivery, who gave me the breakdown of my debt, set up my chair & even moved some furniture around so it would fit. Totally kind soul. Was a pleasure to work with. Rent-A-Center, Holly Hill.

If giving a chance, I would rate these scammers -5. They want to give you all kinds of excuses when it comes to your refund! The sad part is people like myself who need to help due to life's unexpected situations that's given no choice but to do business with them. Then when I ask for my refund, I'm given all 10000+ excuses as to why I don't have my refund. It's been since Oct 30th and every time I call I get all India of excuses on why it's not processed. I paid off my account in 90 day's and I overpaid by mistake and finally got someone on the line and I he placed me on hold after stating he would start my refund and placed me on hold and hung up and I haven't I haven't heard from them since

I paired off my loan before the 90 days same as cash and the agent said they would not go into the account and take the payment. And they did and I've been trying to get my money back since 11/04/2020 as of today nothing after 10 days no refund their stealing ppl money.

Their affiliate, Acceptance Now, is dishonest - please avoid doing any business with them or RAC. I purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture in Greensboro, NC and completed an application for the so-called 90 days no credit option since I am currently purchasing a home. After reading the terrible reviews and realizing that this is basically leasing furniture through Rent-A-Center I cancelled the application the next day and paid for my furniture with a credit card. My family has been using Rent A Center for over 10 years renting and purchasing items from washing machines to computers. The employees have always been nice and have been willing to work with us in hard times. We merely have to keep in touch with them and work out a solution when necessary. If the items we rent breaks the company is always willing to fix the item. If the item can't be fixed then they replace it happily. I am very happy with their service.
