This is an honest-to-God, old fashion, hardware store. They dont build companies like this anymore.
I've been going to Renfrow for 40 years now and there is no better place to find plants, hardware, local honey, canning supplies and, well, just about anything your expect to fine in a REAL hardware store. What makes is so fun is the staff and old fashion touches like glass bottle cokes and clove or teaberry gum. Even sock monkeys! Keep it up, David and staff!
Looking for that strange but or bolt that nobody has well they have it! Amazingly knowledgeable staff as well!
Horrible service! They just want you out the door. Don't care if you have a problem. Shrugs their shoulders and says 'oh well'. Dont call and ask if they have something, you'll have to just go yourself! Will not be going back!
This is the kind of hardware store I worked in as a kid. Family owned, knowledgeable people, quality products you won't find at a big box. Walk through the door and you are back to a better place and time.
I always refer to Renfrow Hardware as the source of all good things in Matthews!
