If Dr. Melfi "back peddles" and agrees to prescribe you pain meds, she'll insist you sign her opioid agreement. You're in severe pain and not thinking straight so be watchful. She's going to submit your urine sample to a non-participating lab in NJ for toxicology studies even before you filled her opioid prescription and alarm you regarding your Hoffman fingertip reflexes. Why? No reason but you'll have a $1,500.00 copay to a lab which is owned by and caters to physiatrist(btw,what's that?)
Dr. Melfi and staff have helped me immensely dealing with my pain. I like that she didn't want to "dope" me up, she wanted to find the root cause and attack it. Highly recommend her! She knows her stuff! A little forward, but that's how I like a doctor to be. No beating around the bush!
Very cold, wouldn't let me or my mother ask any questions and kept leaving the room when we did. She made me feel rushed and stupid for asking questions about my condition. I will never tolerate a doctor like that again.
I absolutely love Dr. Melfi and her PA, Rachel. They have been so helpful in making me feel better. I agree with her practices that it's not about drugs. I have never felt better than I have with RSM Medicine. Her new office is stunning!
I have been a patient for a while with this office and it saddens me to read these negative comments. I have had MRI's which Dr. Melfi reread and found an issue that was missed by the radiologist. she gave me a prescription to calm the nerves and I had an injection. I am doing wonderful and I recommend her to all. I laugh when I see people commenting she is cold during a procedure. I don't know many Docs that are chatty during this time. Serious is how I want my doc when putting needles in me!
Dr. Melfi performed a procedure on me. She is one of the rudest, most unprofessional & inconsiderate individuals I have ever met. The male nurse assisting her was as well. I would absolutely NEVER recommend her to anyone.
She was cold and uncaring. Never reviewed my medical history and never examined me. Spent less than 2 minutes with me and when I asked questions and wanted to discuss what her plan would be she refused to answer and left the room.
I would never recommend this Doctor she is rude and does not treat her patients or the family with respect. I have a husband with a concussion and the Doctor would ignore my responses and ask my husband the same question I had just answered. Concussion patients get confused and nervous if they can not get there thoughts to process. Also the office has a no perfume policy but never told us about it and we were reprimanded by the Doctor. Just and very rude and unprofessional person.
