Hosting a Trump event is bad. But hosting one aimed towards LGBTQ+ folks, during a pandemic is worse. You should have said no to this event. Trump is tearing down the LGBTQ community and this event needs to be canceled.

Very disappointed that The Depot, who has historically welcomed LGBT events, would host a trump rally for LGBT supporters on 10.31.20. hateful. disgraceful. especially in the wake of George Floyd right here in our own home. Nothing about the Trump administration has ever been LGBTQ friendly. I'm sure your rich owners don't gaf.

It is disappointing that a hotel, which would appear to support the LGBT community, is hosting a Trump event (during a global pandemic, much less). The Trump administration is actively against what the Twin Cities LGBT community values and represents. Playing a neutral hand when dealing with oppressors never goes well for the oppressed. This will not be forgotten come Pride next year when people will be looking for rooms to stay in.
