I would leave zero stars if possible. Pottery barn has the worst follow up. I spent a substantial amount of money (to me) finally being able to afford “real” furniture. I ordered a sofa, a desk chair, and a media storage console back in March of 2020. I was told the delivery window was early May it is now over six months later and I have not received my shipment or any real communication from Pottery Barn about where my order is. I placed an order with West Elm. It shipped out UPS and then was transferred to the post office. After approximately a week and a half of being told that I would receive the package the next day, I contacted customer service. The customer service rep supposedly elevated my concern to a supervisor. The response from West Elm was nothing more than what I could see from my emails. that it shipped UPS and was transferred to the post office. They did absolutely nothing to resolve the problem. Ordered nursery furniture because the web site said it would be delivered in Couple weeks. Spent almost $4,000. After I paid and they took my money they then emailed me telling me a totally different date a month later than the original. Now, Its 3 months later and the order still isnt complete. I have to call every single week and try to get an update. Such a hassle. Its October 1st today. Made 3 large furniture purchases totaling over $10,000 in May and July. Multiple shipping delays due to the fact that their third party contractor was holding two items for over 2 months to try to group delivery! Finally get two of the furniture pieces scheduled for delivery (with one month wait time) just to have them arrive with 1 incomplete sectional!! How is this company still in business? I have been dealing with a couch order for over a year now! It started with a late delivery of over 2 months. When it arrived, it was damaged. Thankfully, I kept the damaged one until the replacement arrived because it took 5 months! Then, they charged me twice. Then, they refunded me. Then, they charged me again. Day 42- couch was ordered in June 2020. Delivery was promised August 15- two delays later and delivery is set for September 5 when they show up with 2 pieces of a 3-piece sectional. We send it back because we don’t want to be left with an incomplete couch and have since talked to at least 10 customer service reps- none of whom know what is going on. Why does the scoring start at 1? Why not ZERO? I experienced blatant racism at this retailer’s West Elm Fenway location on Brookline Street in Boston. Wish I read these reviews prior to ordering my daughters furniture set. I ordered in July and over two months later still do not even have a ship date. **************** gives me a different estimated date everytime I speak with them and they continue to push the ship date out further and further. Now its estimated to arrive in November - from a July order date! I wish I ordered from one of their competitors and I will in the future. Dont make the same mistake I did - dont order from this company.
