Prepare to pet, feed and photograph both adult and baby reindeer at Anchorage's fascinating Reindeer Farm. Gentle and tame, these "deer" are accustomed to visitors and are very friendly. Owner Tom Williams actually grew up on this beautiful farm and transformed it from a dairy farm to a reindeer wonderland in the late 1980s. Today, visitors can also marvel at elk and bison, and can go on a horseback ride up up the nearby Butte.

This is such a cool place, I can't wait to go back. Andrea was an awesome guide, she's very knowledgeable and you can tell she really loves the animals. Kimber was also very helpful with the reindeer. I took my 3 young kids by myself and she was right there to help when the reindeer crowded around us.1
RecommendedWe stopped by Williams Reindeer Farm on our next to last day in Alaska, and were treated to a fun and educational time with several dozen reindeer, elk, a baby moose and a bison. Mike was our guide through the farm, where he did an outstanding job of giving us lots of information about all the animals in his charge. Amazing! It's awesome to be able to getup close with the reindeer herd and elk herd. The baby moose Rocky just as adorable as can be. We followed the guided farm tour with a horseback ride. Everyone should do this farm!

My husband and I visited yesterday and Susie was our tour guide. We had a great time! Susie was both entertaining and informative and you can tell she really loves her job. The best part of the tour is getting to interact with the reindeer, pet and feed them and you get to take lots of pictures. They follow you around because they want your food and they are so darn cute. Great for kids to pet reindeer and great information on the history of reindeer in Alaska. Susie was a terrific guide. Would recommend everyone visit.
We visited about a month ago and loved it!! The workers are funny and awesome and the reindeer are so cute! I want to go back to visit soon with the new addition of rocky the moose. Such a great experience!
