Stupid customer service! I guess the staff need a 101 on how to talk to a customer else you are gonna pretty much run of business. Oh did I also add that the staff is ignorant. Maybe the other stores do a good job but this store needs a LOT of refinement! Keep that in mind when you shop here.

I travel for work and go to many different REIs, from Washington to Colorado to Arizona. Have always had great service. Went to San Jose store today to exchange a jacket. Besides the people at the front who put a sticker on my return (like at Walmart) not a single person talk to me. Many walked by, saw me looking around like where would if you are trying to find something, and did the stare at the floor as they pass. Weird. Great shop! The girls in the shoe dept went above and beyond to track down a 'buried' pair of shoes I desperately needed. They are VERY helpful, and always smiling. Minor price match at the register was seamless (as it should be). If you even like, let alone love the outdoors - this store should be your first stop shop. Tkx, JK

Today was my first time at an REI store. I was totally amazed at the many outdoor gear that they had to offer. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Really liked the way the store was arranged and came out of the store very impressed. The only negative was that it was expensive and we were being asked to be members.

I am really bummed, since I love REI. Bought a pair of REI boots over 10 years ago. They were not overused, and fit great. Went on a hike at Lake Arrowhead, and the soles fell off. Thank goodness it was at the end of my hike. Took them to the store this week hoping for a solution. I was told that the glue must of decomposed and there was nothing they could do. I would have been happy with a discount on some new boots. I am going to now compare Patagonia and other brands.

My family and I have been shopping at REI and REI online, for years. This place has just about anything and everything for outdoor adventure. Keep up the awesome work guys and gals!!!
