*Updated 8/1/25 I received a response regarding our maintenance issue (which involved an engineer having to come out to the property) and they refuse to provide us with a copy of the written report so we don't know if we are in a habitable building at this point. Thanks to Alabama law, because the lease doesn't say they are required to provide residents with documentation, they don't have to even let us see the engineer report. Look elsewhere for housing. I’ve lived here at Redmont Gardens for exactly a year now. My daughter lived here in a different apartment back in 2020. We both have had wonderful interactions with the office staff. They have always been super friendly and helpful and genuinely happy to see us when we pop in the office. The apartment is old. I rather call it vintage- almost 100 years old. But I appreciate the charm and character much better than a new modern place. The landscaping is top notch, with flower beds changed out every season. I enjoy seeing what... read more

I lived in Redmont Gardens for 6 years and it was a wonderful experience. I loved the girls in the office, the location and that my building was so beautiful and full of character. I moved to another city, but I always drive through Redmont when I’m visiting Birmingham. I have so many fond memories there and it’ll always hold a special place in my heart.

We just moved out after five years here (2020-2025) and are so grateful to have made RG our home! Everyone on staff is highly capable and responsive and they deal with issues right away. A few things aren't the best (old plumbing, window A/C units, etc.) but that's because this is a historic site (1930s) that also has a lot of character and charm, not to mention a perfect location. They told me that if my dog wasn’t out of the apartment in 24 hours that they would take him, and if he gets hurt, then it’s not their fault. How crooked? Everyone had a dog at the apartment but Ashley told me that wasn’t true. Um, well I can see with my eyeballs that everyone does have a dog, so that’s awkward.
