Red Robin isn't the only place to get gourmet burgers in the Pacific Northwest. This similarly named burger joint has been voted "Best Burger" by the readers of the Seattle Weekly. The reasons are obvious, big juicy patties, fresh buns and crisp lettuce, not to mention fair prices. At this chic Red Mill Burgers joint, try the rich Bacon Deluxe with Cheese, the Veggie Burger or the Chicken Burger. The thick milkshakes and malts are nothing to sneer at either.

Great burgers, not that kid-friendly! – I found Red Mill on the list of best family-friendly restaurants. Strange, I did not see a kid meal on the menu nor a junior type burger: plain. I spent $4.35? on a half-eaten cheeseburger for a 5 year old-not to mention a $2 soda. Don't get me wrong, I love the food, but kids don't want to wait in long lines for a table to open up and parents shouldn't have to pay so much to feed little ones. The Verde burger is delicious!
Awesome! – Seriously the best burger I have ever eaten and the onion rings are even better. Be careful because the staff is a bit on edge, you WILL be yelled at for being on your cell phone, and you ARE expected tp tip (well worth it), there are no substitutions and you must pay in cash. But if you can put up with all of that you are in for a real treat.
One of the better places I've been – I heard about this place through some friends so I thought I'd try it out. It was about 8:00 on a Friday night and it was pretty packed. We ordered our food and had to wait about 10 minutes. Seating inside was limited, so we had to go on one of the picnic tables just outside. I got special they had: the "triple burger". I must say it was pretty awesome. I had been eating D i c k s (citysearch detected this word as "inappropriate) and Red Robin for a while and this was a good change.
Best burger in Seatown! – The verde veggie burger is the best I have ever had. Maybe it's the sauce, maybe it's the toasted bun. I'm a vegetarian who used to frequent Red Mill with a non-vegetarian, and she always ordered the veggie burger here, claiming that it was actually better than the cow burgers. Delicious. The real milkshakes are good, too. Unfortunately, this restaurant is cramped and it can be hard to find a seat, or even a place to stand while waiting; the line is routinely out the door; credit/debit cards are not... read more
Good burgers but they randomly close early. – Red Mill has excellent burgers and fries - the verde, made with roasted chiles, and the double deluxe stand out. These aren't exactly gourmet burgers - they are the ones that have that drive-in style gooey cheese and soft buns, and they are less than $8. We go there whenever we have the chance. One complaint, but it is a big one - they close early at unpredictable times. Very unprofessional. I tried to get in tonight fifteen minutes before closing and the door was shut. It's too ... read more
My conclusion: overrated – I've been living in Seattle for a couple of years now and have been looking forward to trying Red Mill Burgers -- I've heard a lot about it. Like a previous reviewer, I use In-N-Out as the benchmark when it comes to burgers. Today I tried it and thought the overall experience was just ok. There was a bit of a wait but that was understandable based on the line. I tried the Double Deluxe Burger and enjoyed the spicy chili powder-ish kick but overall, I thought the burger was just, er, run-of-the-mill... read more
Pretty Girls with poor attitudes make burgers.... – My dinner companion dared to ask the cashier/order taker at Red Mill about a charge on our receipt (the wrong burger had been rung up) and we were treated to silence and withering looks from not only the cahier, but the manager as well. Yes, it was only a 40 cent overcharge and the WRONG BURGER. I was so appalled at how they treated my friend that I approached the Manager and was told that the cashier was new and that they had been busy all day. No apology- just more wither... read more
Carnivores of the Northwest line up at this burger joint for family-run flame-broiled goodness. – In Short Customers in line listen to rock-and-roll music with mouths watering over the thick chocolate malts and juicy burgers. The diner-style seating areas at both locations are clean and kid-friendly, but during lunchtime, there can be a bit of a wait. Flame-broiled quarter-pound beef patties, a low-fat veggie burger, even chicken marinated in lemon-honey, can all be found on the surprisingly varied menu. The young staff is r... read more
Great burgers for masochists – Yes indeed, this place has spectacular cheeseburgers. But you may well wait 40 minutes to get your order. The staff are completely brain-dead, and don't care about customers because this place has received so much press. They'll lose your order and you'll watch the "chef" play air guitar. Perhaps tourists will think that this is a cute, laid-back Northwest experience. But it's actually a poor business model. Make your cardiologist happy and skip on down the street to Carmelita for great food an... read more
