Seen via video visit and plan was to complete labs and 'consider starting progesterone' and also discussed other hormone therapy alternatives. Stated she would follow up after labs to determine appropriate approach. I completed labs May 30th. Did not hear from provider regarding those results as of June 11th. Dr Hettel my be a good Dr but the office is terrible. They never answer the phone. If they call back it is always at closing so if you miss the call you can't call back. I have had significant issues in getting medicine refills. I am changing Dr's due to the office issues.
Upon visiting Dr Hertle for the 1st time I found her to be unprofessional, rude & incompetent. I feel like some online reviews for her are screened and deleted. I also heard her taking about the previous patient with staff in hallway, I would have thought she was in highschool being a mean and caddy teenager. I will be changing to another provider prior to my next visit. Thank-you!
I love Dr. Hertel. She's the best PCP I've had, however I've had many issues trying to schedule appts through her office staff. Dr. Hertel says to schedule me within the next week, and the woman at the desk gives me an appt 3 months away. I schedule an appt 6 months ahead, take a day off because I live out of town, and I get a call 1 day before that they need to cancel because Dr. Hertel is on vacation. I have to switch providers because I can't get an appt in a reasonable amount of time.
Dr. Rebbecca is one of the most fabulous providers I have ever seen. Not only is she extremely knowledgable but she really gets it, she's seen life at its worst and at its best and she can relate. Her staff is divine! Especially her new male nurse who is pretty easy on the eyes (not that it impacts the excellent care he provides, but, ladies... It helps!). I highly recommend Bay Harbor to ANYONE looking for impeccable care!
I have been a patient of Dr Hertel for about 8 years now. And during the years that I've been seeing her, I've developed great respect and trust in her. She shows compassion for her patients, she listens to you and asks questions about issues, makes suggestion with your approval for treatment. She never rushes you, but takes her time with you, and one cannot help but appreciate the kind and caring doctor as Dr Hertel. They don't come like that anymore.
