1. The investigation cost us $550 which was 2 men's time on the premises. It was a roof leak. 2. The quote for the work ($2,079) was based on "attempt to fix". 3. The only way to remove the word "attempt" was to replace the entire roof. 4. The young man turned up (for the investigation) without a hose & was waiting for Scott to arrive with hose & to help him. 5. They still charged for the waiting time on the investigation invoice. 6. Hi Valerie, We don’t charge per hour, only by job. Explained to yourself that the whole roof needed to be replaced as you will continue to have leaks. You mentioned that you did not want to pay for the replacement as you are waiting on developers to purchase your property. As you could not afford for the entire roof we offered to patch work the leak. This is were the word attempt comes in. I would not recommend rapid plumbing to anyone as they crack my tile trying to get a sprindle out if they thought they were going to crack it they should have stopped and called me before going ahead and cracking my tile now I have to call a tiller to fix what they cracked all it took is a phone call and that would not happen .
Booked in for 7.30am. The plumber was on time. Identified the issue, gave me a quote and replaced the tap within 15 minutes. Meant I was on time for work. Price wise I’m satisfied. It’s never cheap getting a plumber in but for the speed of service, showing up on time etc it is very much worth it. Had another plumbing business replace cartridges only on bathroom taps before and they charged like a wounded bull and took weeks of repeated calls to get it done.
