Great airport! Easy in/out with many nonstop connections everywhere. Cheap parking and mostly on time flights.
I fly out of RDU airport several times a month for both personal and business trips. Today I was very disappointed after returning from a 10 day business trip and found that the 5th floor uncovered parking deck was not plowed. It was full of ice and snow. Isn’t this type of service covered in the parking fee? It was almost impossible pulling my suitcase in over a half a foot of snow. I then had to back my car out of the parking space to put my suitcase in my car. Not happy.
Just a word of warning for anyone who parks their car in the parking decks at RDU. You may think that you have parked your vehicle in a secure place but you have not. They do not have any security surveillance in the parking decks. David got home last night from Canada at around 10:30 to find all 4 tires on his truck were flat. He had to get a car trailer today and go pick the truck up. Not sure what they used to flatten the tires but they wouldn’t hold air for him to drive it home.
Hey RDU how about stop accepting flights if you have no gates for them when they land. Sitting on the runway for over 40 minutes waiting on a Gate with no end in sight. Please plan better. This is ridiculous. Close the damn airport if you can’t handle the weather please
